Went to see the production of Agatha Christie’s “A witness for the prosecution” in a courtroom setting using the old GLC chamber as a backdrop. The production, performances and backdrop were excellent, using this space was an inspired idea and I really would recommend a visit.
Unfortunately, as with so many venues, the drinks, snacks etc were somewhat over priced. But certainly not enough to dampen my enjoyment of the play itself. Be sure to book well in advance as tickets sell out quickly. All seats were full on a Wednesday evening, in the rain with a tube strike! Four stars as thirty quid for two vodkas in plastic tumblers with snacks is more than a little cheeky 😂
Please don’t let this stop you, just be prepared!
Lovely old building with so many original features. We went to see a show there, which was an ideal setting for the play as it was set in a court room.
This is a great place for friends, familiies and lived ones especially children. There is lots to see and be amaze. There is no onsite parking. There is facilities for wheelchairs and sanitation facilities are everywhere. There are penguins in here too. Definitely recommended. Thank you and have a great time.
